understanding the psychology of behavior

Who am I… I’m an investor who happens to do well investing… maybe not investing… more so trading. I’m one of those ‘relatively’ young punks who thinks he is really good… but confidently good, not arrogantly good

I utilize fundamental analysis, along with Technical Analysis (TA), to beat the market to ride the wave of the big boys… i’m sure they don’t mind

-The fundies are important to know what events or developments can cause the stock to go up or down, and from these events, whether or not an entry/exit is merited.

-The Technicals (ie Charts) tell me when the big boys are entering/exiting, or whether a hegdie is about to pop the stock or drop the stock. (I realized over time that I am very good at this.)

Truth be told, I wish I was a better long-term holder, but I must make do with what works… and that is playing the trade with TA combined with the Fundies. (I think I allow too much hope to get involved when playing for the long-term. But when I trade, I feel no hope… I just know. If I’m wrong, I bounce w/no hard feelings.)

My View… Technical Analysis is not the interpretation of ‘tea leaves’. It is the understanding of the investor psychology that drives the behavior of a stock/bond/derivative or any other product held to market forces.
